High-Cell Density Cryopreservation Strategy
Monday, May 16 | 10:20 to 10:50 AM
Presented by: Julien Muzard, field applications technologist EMEA, Entegris
The scientific strategy of this study is to amplify cells, freeze them in their single-use storage bags and in vials (which is the reference), keep them for a shorter or longer time in liquid nitrogen, then defrost directly in culture and compare the yields obtained in single-use storage bags versus in vials.

High-density cell banking (HDCB) intensifies the upstream process by providing a much larger volume of highly concentrated cells to start a production run. This process can shorten seed train by several weeks. HDCB allows high cell concentrations in larger volumes to be stored at -80°C for limited periods or in liquid nitrogen vapor for extended periods.
Our single-use solutions are customizable to fit into any bioprocess including cell growth, separation, mixing, and storage. We combine product innovation and quick-turn response to deliver critical solutions for your upstream and downstream operations.
Cold Chain Bioprocessing explains how Entegris can navigate new distribution environments with flexible designs.
