Media Prep
We can provide you with the tools and single-use systems to get media preparation done more efficiently.
Media preparation takes a lot of precision, care, and patience. There are often multiple specific recipes required for each upstream bioreactor stage of scale up from inoculum to harvest. Media preparation is usually carried out in tanks, carboys, bottles, or bags to which the media is introduced. Homogeneity of the media prep is critical to cell nutrition, function, growth rate, and ultimately significant yields of viable biologic product.
We offer a single-use, impeller-less mixing system that is designed for both liquid/liquid and liquid/powder media mixing. Our single-use bag system creates a completely sterile mixing and recirculation process from start to finish. The rapid recirculation design will mix almost any component to a homogeneous mixture within five to 15 minutes, saving time without sacrificing quality or consistency. Once mixed, we have a full array of bags and containers to store the media until it is ready for use.
We offer a variety of single-use products for many media preparation processes. Solutions include bag assemblies, custom tube sets and manifolds, mixing systems, tubing and pipe, and liquid filters. These can be configured to fit your existing process, providing unit operation design expertise to assure performance, quality, and timely delivery.
