Billerica, MA, Sept. 27, 2022 – Entegris, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENTG) announced today the introduction of its interactive customer tool, the F/T Optimizer, at the BioProcess International Conference in Boston, MA. The tool uses proprietary algorithms to test virtually as many as eight equipment and process combinations to determine the most efficient and cost-effective cold chain solutions.
The F/T Optimizer tool gives Entegris’ life sciences customers access to unparalleled insights and the ability to see the outcome of various manufacturing scenarios without the need for physically testing.
Customers can identify the freeze and thaw equipment and processes that best fit their needs and evaluate scenarios to optimize their process economics. In some cases, the tool has helped Entegris’ customers identify cold chain process and tool improvements that could deliver up to a 50% reduction in yield loss and up to a 40% reduction in labor. Customers are able to interact with the F/T Optimizer tool, our wide array of process tools, our expanded integrated solutions and subject matter experts at Entegris’ newly opened Life Sciences Technology Center. Life sciences companies – from small biotech start-ups to large pharma companies with established infrastructure – can evaluate and qualify purpose-built solutions for freeze and thaw processes at the Entegris Life Sciences Technology Center without setting up a new lab of their own.
“Our life sciences customers were looking for a way to improve the freeze and thaw phases of their manufacturing processes without wasting important resources – time and budget,” said John Lynch, vice president of Life Sciences at Entegris. “Entegris is a longstanding and well-respected player in the semiconductor industry, which takes a collaborative approach to problem solving. We partnered with other life sciences companies to find a solution for this common challenge. Now we invite our customers to our Technology Center to experiment with our new F/T Optimizer to determine their most efficient and cost-effective cold chain solution.”
Entegris will exhibit at the BioProcess International Conference in booth 610, showcasing a variety of innovations, including its Aramus 2D bags, filtration, and freeze thaw solutions. Ross Acucena, director, Life Sciences Applications, will be speaking on Thursday, September 29 at 4:10 p.m. on Entegris’ sterile filtration program and how the company aims to deliver differentiated performance to the bioprocess industry.
The Entegris Life Sciences Technology Center, located in Billerica, MA, opened earlier this year and offers the opportunity for life sciences customers to leverage Entegris’ expertise on cold-chain supply challenges to optimize processes, reduce costs, and increase speed-to-market. The world-class laboratory is part of Entegris’ broader commitment to support biopharmaceutical companies as they continue to provide life-changing therapies to people around the world.
